This week is a little different from other weeks because Jacob, Drew, and my sister Carla are all in Colorado at the FLY convention. Feven and I stayed behind to work. I have found it very comforting to know that God is everywhere-here with me when I’m cleaning or whatever I’m doing, in Colorado with the rest of the team, and wherever you are too. Yesterday when I was reading my devos, I read a quote that I liked-”When Christ is the center of your focus, all else will come into proper perspective.” I pray for that in my life.

So far this summer has been pretty great. God has been so gracious to us all-giving us the strength we need to keep on going. This coming week we’ll be doing something new for us. Fire Up Youth Camp will be here and we’re going to be helping out, being counselors and organzing rec and just being there, so we’re pretty excited for that. Pray for us as we will be ministering to these kids.

Well we’re at the ARC now and getting into the swing of things. Already it seems like we’re at home, even tho we’ve only been here for 3 days. Yesterday we had staff training and then I worked in housekeeping in the afternoon. Today we had a prayer meeting to pray for all the camps coming in this summer. It was a powerful time. First we sang some songs and then we prayed for all the camps coming in and for the staff as well. This afternoon I worked in the office. My sister Carla is working here this summer and tonight Feven, Carla and I went to the pastor’s house and had a girls’ Bible Study with the youth group. It was a really great time of fellowship and getting to be challenged more by God’s Word.

I just was arguing that today was Thursday but Amanda says today is Friday. The days are going so fast in SD. I had a good time with the family here and tomorrow we are going to leave for Camp ARC. My stuff is packed already but I will see Amanda and her sister Carla pack to get ready to go to our summer Job.

Well, this week the team is on a break before we go to the ARC to work for the summer. Feven and I are at my house for the week and will be heading to the ARC on Saturday. We start on Monday with training. I pray for strength for the summer and ask that you keep us in your prayers as well.

I guess we’re keeping busy writing songs and trying to figure out what to do for a skit for commissioning night. This week has been pretty long and tiring, but very good and productive (most of the time).

Here we are at training week, learning about vbs and summer, watching puppets kiss and fight. We had a good afternoon with Peter and Pat. Pat told us we had to update the blog, so here we are. We have our last session starting at 9 and then it’s up at 7 again tomorow. It is looking like it’s going to be a good summer.
